Dr Simon Mabon

Simon Mabon is a Lecturer in International Relations in the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion at Lancaster University. He is also Director of the Richardson Institute. His research explores the International Relations of the Middle East, with a particular focus upon religion, sovereignty, and political violence within the Persian Gulf. He is a member of management committee of the Richardson Institute at Lancaster University and is also the dissemination co-ordinator for the Terrorism and Political Violence Association (TAPVA), of which the FPC is a member. He is the author of Saudi Arabia and Iran: Soft power rivalry in the Middle East, (London: I.B. Tauris, 2012)
